Past Due Payment
My account is past due.
A past due payment is a payment that has not been made by the end of its due date, or by its cut off time. Past due payments can result in penalties, such as late fees, increased interest rates, and a negative impact on credit scores.
What does that mean?
- a "past due" account status means you've missed a minimum payment.
What are the consequences of being past due?
- Unfortunately, you will not be able to use your card while your account is past due, and you may accrue fees or interest (see your Cardholder Agreement for details). We may report your account as past due to the credit bureaus if your payment is 30 or more days past due.
What if I can't pay my past due balance?
- We understand, things happen! Even if you can't pay the full amount right now, making partial payments of any amount can help. We want you to succeed, so give us a call if you have questions or need help.
When do I need to make a payment?
- If your account is past due, it's best to make a payment as soon as you can - even if it's a partial payment. Check your current statement for your upcoming due date.
